Comcast HD Lineup

Thank you HD!

Here's my HD line up using ATSC tuning:

    • 70.2    CNN HD
    • 71.1    A&E HD
    • 71.2    History HD
    • 72.1    HGTV HD
    • 72.2    Food HD
    • 73.1    National Geographic HD
    • 73.2    USA HD
    • 88.5    ESPN HD
    • 91.4    Universal HD
    • 92.3    MHD
    • 114.3   ESPN2 HD

Plus the local HD OTA (over the air) broadcast channels. As you can see here, the channels have decimals meaning they are 'direct' broadcast digital channels. You need to auto tune your ATSC tuner to get this channels. Your mileage may vary and this is not permanent programming meaning comcast can change the line up anytime. You may need to rescan the channels to find out more. I am not sure if they are uncompressed or not, but its is on HD.

Enjoy!

Maxtor 300GB HDD Storage, Grab it on sale now!

This is one deal to beat. At 16 cents per gigabyte, this one is a steal.

I am talking about the Maxtor 300GB hardisk drive. This has the older IDE (pata) interface which is compatible with the old systems. It spins at 7,200 rpm with a buffer memory of 16 MB, see the specs on the OD ad link below.

See the complete ad here:

PS: I am not endorsing the seller nor promoting the product, I am only saying that this is a good deal.

A Reason to like iPhone...

If you don't like apple's iPhone, take a look at this.

I am not a fan of iPhone nor the apple products, but coming across this article, gives me a reason to like it. For one, it is going to be integrated to the new Land Rover LRX.

Although it is in early stage, perhaps this trim is only an option or the plan may still change.

Blogging to be made ILLEGAL!

I started the morning as usual. A little warm up around the house, a cup of java and a glimpse of the news.

Then my favorite part, check emails. Then I was stumped in this article.

Its a little extreme that "thinking thoughts against the war on Iraq could be considered a criminal act." - from that article.

So much for the free speech (and thoughts) for "the land of the free..."

Nice to have - Nokia N95

This item is one on my nice to have list, but keeping on mind that 'buy what you need and not what you want' fact and no budget for that mentality, I can still live with my Motorola RAZR that can still serve its purpose.

I am just putting this item on my gadget line up. It is currently twice the price of Apple iPhone for reasons that I am not so much aware of. Although there are already reviews and direct comparison, I am a fan of Symbian OS and familiar with its 'user friendly' menus. That is why my preference is still with Nokia. Another reason is the 5 Megapixel photos and the built in GPS. Yes, the Apple iPhone has a very good screen size and resolution but I am not fond of listening to portable movies and music.

Besides the main function of these gadget is to make and recieve calls, in that aspect Nokia has the edge since it is a quad band enabled meaning you can roam to other countries without a problem. Youll never get lost too, since you have a GPS, just need to use a little common sense, a sense that is not common to all!

So that's it, Im sticking to N95! (at least for now...)
Chao!

Get your Yahoo emails from outlook and outlook express

Yes you can retrieve your emails using outlook and outlook express. And not only that, it can support even other email client programs listed here. Outlook express is the email client program that comes with microsoft windows.

Heres how:

1. Download the ypops program. This is the program that communicate with your yahoo account from the internet. Think of it as your email carrier. It fetches your new emails from your mailbox and delivers your outgoing emails.

2. Install ypops. Set it and forget it. It even looks for a newer version. Read more on the instructions on how to install ypops.

3. Set your email account in outlook/outlook express.

I am more comfortable in using the email client than accessing the webmail, but thats me. Your preference maybe different, anyway thatnks for reading my blog.

Thats it! I hope this contribute something to make your life easier.
